Country round-up!

I've been very lucky to cross off quite a few from my Must-See Country Concert list. In this post, I'm going to do my best to sum up each concert I've seen up to this point.

September 18th, 2009 - Keith Urban's Escape Together World Tour (w/ Lady Antebellum)
In September 2009 I moved to Calgary for the second time. I was starting my first year at Mount Royal University. My parents were dropping me off, and during the drive in we heard an advertisement for Keith Urban's concert. My mom encouraged me to go, so I called up a friend and we decided to get tickets. It was my first country concert, but certainly not my last! It was amazing. Lady Antebellum was a fantastic opening act, and Keith Urban is such a show stopper! It's one that I'll never forget.

October 27th, 2009 - Rascal Flatts Unstoppable Tour (w/ Darius Rucker)
My precious mother and father bought me two floor tickets to Rascal Flatts for my birthday, which was conveniently October 28th, 2009. Rascal Flatts was the first country group I fell in love. It was amazing to see them from the floor! They're flashy and entertaining. It was also the first time I saw Darius Rucker live. I hadn't listened to him much before the concert, but afterwards I was hooked!

March 27th, 2010 - Tim McGraw's Southern Voice Tour (w/ The Lost Trailers & Lady Antebellum)
The Lost Trailers opened for Lady Antebellum who opened for Tim McGraw. After The Lost Trailers performed, they signed autographs near the t-shirt stand. I ran up and got myself some autographs! I still have the photo somewhere. It was my second time seeing Lady Antebellum live, and they never disappoint. I'll be honest - this was hands down my favorite concert. Tim McGraw is a country God! He wears that black cowboy hat better than anyone else could, and he can sing. Boy, can he sing! This man can move me to tears with a single song.

July 17th, 2010 - Miranda Lambert & Jason Aldean
This was a lot of fun! For those of you who don't know, my sister is my best friend. The two of us drove down to Calgary, AB for the Stampede and this amazing concert - which we had floor seats for. Miranda and Jason were co-headlining a tour, so they each had equal stage time. Miranda is a beautiful country girl! She is bad-ass and makes it look effortless. I adore her. Jason Aldean is phenomenal! He is so talented, and so incredible live. I can not wait till I get to see him again.

October 5th, 2010 - Brad Paisley's H2O World Tour (w/ Justin Moore & Darius Rucker)
Another three act concert. This one is a close second to the Tim McGraw show. Justin Moore opened for Darius Rucker who opened for Brad Paisley. Before this concert, I had never heard of Justin Moore. After the concert, I can not get enough of this boy! He is a true country boy, and puts on a heck of a show. Darius Rucker impressed me for the second time. For those of you who don't know him, Darius Rucker use to be the lead singer of Hootie & the Blowfish. Then Brad Paisley came out and shut the Saddledome down. He's a legend. Brad Paisley puts everything into his shows, and I'd love to see him again.

After recapping the concerts I've seen, I realize I didn't see ONE country concert in 2011. Bizarre! I'll have to make up for it in 2012 - starting with Blake Shelton's Well Lit & Amplified Tour (w/ Dia Frampton & Justin Moore) on March 8th, 2012 in Spokane, WA. Watch for that blog post to come shortly afterwards!
