Where do I begin?

I'll start with the basics. My name is Kristen and I am 22 years old. Technically I am a student, but I decided to take a year off. When I am in school, I am studying to get my Bachelor of Kinesiology and ultimately a certificate in athletic therapy. I've accomplished three years of school, but only two in the kinesiology field. Most people write-off their first year, right? I'll be heading to the University of Lethbridge this fall to complete the two-three years I have left. I enjoy school, but like everyone else I do have other interests..

Sports are a passion of mine. I once waited in line for five hours to meet Dion Phaneuf when he played for the Calgary Flames. I'll be honest, it was rather disappointing. He wasn't the warmest individual I've met. I'm still a Flames fan, and Phaneuf now plays for the Toronto Maple Leafs - everything works out in the end. I'll watch any sporting event, but I also enjoy being active. I'm a huge fan of volleyball, basketball, and ultimate Frisbee. I also swam competitively for ten years. It's the relationships, the competitiveness and even the politics that keep me interested in the sporting world.

Two other passions of mine are country music and the Backstreet Boys. I won't get too deep into either because I am sure the majority of blogging will revolve around these two subjects.

Speaking of blogging, I suppose I'll address why I started this blog. I just purchased a new Sony VAIO, and I wanted to put it to good use. So here it is! My first attempt at a blog. Enjoy!
